Youth, Media and… Science in Action!

Last week, the Media Research Laboratory at the University of Warsaw was filled with youthful energy and a passion for knowledge. We had the great pleasure of hosting the finalists of the Media Knowledge Olympiad – a remarkable group of high school students from across Poland. Their enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication proved that the future of media and science is in excellent hands. This special visit gave us the opportunity to share a behind-the-scenes look at our research work.

Throughout the visit, the students explored our lab and discovered how modern scientific research on media is conducted. They got to know our cutting-edge equipment and learned how we use biometric and technological tools to analyze media users’ behavior. We also introduced them to the concept of triangulation – the integration of multiple research methods to gain a more complete understanding of contemporary media. It was a time for knowledge-sharing, discussion, and inspiration.

This event was part of the project: “Creating promotional materials and developing a blog dedicated to presenting and promoting selected scientific projects conducted by the LBM UW team,” carried out under the “Excellence Initiative – Research University” Program (Action III.3.2: “Promotion of scientific research”).
We would like to thank all participants for their engagement, smart questions, and wonderful energy – and we hope to see you again in the future, maybe as researchers yourselves!

Project "Creation of promotional materials and preparation of a blog dedicated to the presentation and promotion of selected scientific projects carried out by the team of the Media Research Laboratory of the University of Warsaw" carried out as part of the funding granted in Measure III.3.2 "Promotion of scientific research" implemented as part of the "Excellence Initiative - Research University" Program
